‘wink glasses’ have a special device which monitors blinking movement
japanese company masunaga has designed a new product, ‘wink glasses’. a clip-on device for eyeglasses monitors your alertness by detecting blinking movements. if the glasses don’t log activity for five seconds, a transparent liquid crystal sheet on the lens becomes cloudy and blocks the visibility of the user. the lens does not become transparent again until you blink again. this is meant to keep particular those who sit in front of a screen all day, more alert and attentive, forcing them to continuously blink and keep their eyes open. the device is charged by USB and is easily removable so that you have the option to use the glasses normally as well.
