Single rotor lifts up gyroplane nisus
Gyroplane ‘Nisus’ relies on its engine-powered, single propeller to lift itself up in the air as a personal aircraft for leisure and professional flying. To effortlessly fly an aircraft with a helicopter design spills through the aesthetics that Nisus goes for and the specifications it tailors to a flying private means of transport. The gyroplane features a lengthy rotor that acts as the wing of the aircraft. It is engine powered, enough to thrust it upward and forward with ease.
Nisus opts for welded steel tubes to support its VTOL gyroplane, which at a low weight ensures high rigidity and safety of the structure, the company states. For the tail part and the cabin of the aircraft, the design team employs composite materials of carbon fibers to lighten the load. The all-weather aircraft means it can withstand extreme day-and-night conditions in flight, and because of its compact design, Nisus is dubbed small enough to be stowed and parked in confined and/or restricted spaces.

full circumferential frame for the aircraft
Gyroplane Nisus wants the pilot and passenger to savor panoramic views in the air. The design team installs a full circumferential frame to securely enclose the flyers inside the cabin, all while providing scenic landscapes. Nisus says its cabin frame is equipped with a pressure control system to weather the increasing strain as the personal aircraft flies high. The design also underscores a double rudder which the company claims improves the aircraft’s maneuvering functions at low speed.
Design-wise, the red-and-black palette for the cabin controls contrasts the white or black exterior of the gyroplane. The cushioned reclining seats accommodate the pilot and passenger in comfort coupled with adjustable belts to strap them in safely. Tech buffs might appreciate Nisus’ 500km range, maximum engine power of 112kW and maximum speed of 195 km/h. Before hopping in the personal gyroplane, Nisus gives a heads-up that pilots need a minimum of a Sport Pilot license in the rotorcraft category/gyroplane class which requires.
