THE VIDEO COMES AFTER VIRGIN GALACTIC ANNOUNCED ITS TICKET PRICE
virgin galactic has released a new video showing what their space flight will entail. the video comes just after richard branson’s company announced it is taking reservations for seats on its flights to space.
the space tickets will have a total cost of USD $450,000 for a 90-minute spaceflight.

THE VIDEO SHOWCASES THEIR IDEA OF SPACE TOURISM IN DETAIL
in the new video, virgin galactic showcases their space tourism idea in great detail. it begins by explaining the difference between traditional vertical launches, compared to theirs which starts with a smooth runway takeoff, similar to that of a conventional commercial flight. the spaceship is attached to a mother ship, and launched at around an altitude of fifty thousand feet, bypassing the thickest parts of the earth’s atmosphere, making it far more energy efficient and more comfortable for the passengers inside.
once the spaceship is detached, the rocket motor ignites and the vehicle starts its ascent towards outer space, reaching speeds up to three times the speed of sound. once it reaches space, the rocket motor shuts down, and passengers will be able to unbuckle their seatbelts and float effortlessly around the cabin, enjoying zero gravity.
the ship has 17 windows allowing passengers to enjoy breathtaking views of planet earth while enjoying weightlessness. the vehicle then prepares itself for re-entry into the earth’s atmospheres, using virgin galactic’s feather. this technology enables the vehicle to act like a winged vehicle when it needs to, and also as a capsule when this design gives it the advantage.
