World’s first manned UFO eVTOL flies over shenzhen

Recently, a UFO was caught on camera, circling over the city of Shenzhen in China. People took out their phones to capture the rare scene and take videos of the flying saucer, only to discover that it was the world’s first manned eVTOL flying saucer taking the shape of an alien spacecraft. After over three years of research and development, Chinese startup Shenzhen UFO Flying Saucer Technology has drafted and unveiled what might be dubbed the world’s first electric vertical take-off manned flying saucer.

During the test flight, the UFO-shaped eVTOL with donut holes along the rim hovers above the lake in Shenzhen before taking off and gliding in the air. A lone pilot sits comfortably inside the flying saucer, directing the path of the UFO eVTOL and checking whether the startup’s flight mechanism and technology could work. While a single flight test may not fully determine the effectiveness and safety of the manned flying saucer, it is enough to give hope to the design team that the path they are taking might be worth looking into, not to mention the attention-magnet design that they selected.

Designed for tourism and advertising

Based on the report shared by the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, the UFO eVTOL showcases a unique yet familiar design featuring a six-hole duct and 12 propeller motors that can ensure triple redundancy in power supply, motor operation, and flight control. It also seems like the UFO eVTOL possesses the ability to take off and land on water, making it an amphibious aircraft.

If this happens to be the case, the manned flying saucer takes on a dual role of being an on-demand aircraft and a cruising-friendly circular yacht. The report also states that the UFO eVTOL is designed primarily for tourism and advertising purposes – looking at the gathered crowd, it works – and has obtained a global invention patent. With a flight time of up to 15 minutes, it can reach an impressive altitude of 200 meters and achieve a maximum horizontal speed of 50 kilometers per hour.

Additionally, the aircraft offers the flexibility to switch between automatic and manual driving modes. The creation opens up new possibilities in the field of aviation and represents an achievement for Shenzhen UFO Technology. As the startup continues to refine and develop its technology, viewers might as well expect a UFO eVTOL coming to life and maybe even in a series of production.
