the ‘kisai rogue’ pocketwatch by tokyoflash
the latest release from japanese watch manufacturers tokyoflash, the ‘kisai rogue‘ pocketwatch is a device whose classic stainless steel case belies the futuristic touchscreen watchface.
the watch features a hybrid LCD/LED interface, so the time is always readable although the display can be further illuminated on command via an LED backlight. four zones along the edge of the screen offer touch access to the functions of changing the mode, time or date, setting the alarm, or lighting up the screen. the screen automatically locks after 60 seconds without input, unlockable with a swipe from left to right. an optional feature offers an illuminated animation every five minutes.
the time is read in the following manner: the outermost ring indicates the hour, with a break to indicate the position of the hour; just inside is a circle of smaller dots, indicating the minutes. the two centermost rings function in the same manner, but indicating the time at an optionally selected second time zone.
the ‘kisai rogue’ is produced in blue, green, red, and black, for a retail cost of 150 USD.
