located in south australia, tesla has completed its 100 megawatt powerpack battery backup system, which will provide 30,000 homes in the region with an emergency supply. connected to neoen’s hornsdale windfarm, the battery set stores the renewable energy, saving it for when the area needs it. this achievement, constructed in under 100 days, aids the state government in achieving its energy plan, announced in march 2017, which outlined their objective of delivering cleaner, more affordable and more reliable power.
