sz bikes' equlibrium is a minimalist road bicycle

100% made in italy, sz bikes’ equilibrium bicycle designs a bike that focuses on aesthetics and rider comfort. the central ‘equilibrium’ points are the handlebars and the seat, creating a minimalist form with functional characteristics. an anti-theft device is integrated into the tail-light, keeping this stylish bicycle secure.

the sz bikes team started by searching for a component that would make the ‘equilibrium’ instantly recognizable, and highlights one half of its rims in bright ‘orange’, contrasting the other in ‘black’, creating a hypnotic aesthetic when in motion. after months of research and testing for the perfect seat, the web-like ‘spyder saddle’ was chosen for its supple, plastic material that keeps the seat soft, but unchanged in form. its handlebar grips make use of a sponge-like material that absorbs all shocks caused by road.

the ‘equilibrium’ features a two-speed system automatic gearbox, providing cyclists with an optimum gear ratio. a centrifugal clutch mechanism automatically selects the gear, higher or lower, which changes depending on the speed requirements of the cyclist. the brake ensures a quick and controlled stop with a front hydraulic disc system mounted, providing safe stops in any weather condition. the stlish bike also has an integrated coaster brake, that is activated by pedaling backwards, enhancing braking performance. 

in case of bike theft, the tail-light located beneath the saddle has an anti-theft device with a siren as loud as a thunderclap (120 decibels). as soon as the bicycle is touched a vibration sensor will activate the siren, or, it can be remote controlled independently. following a short time, the siren will continue to sound until turned off completely.
