sony is bringing back the playstation classic and it's loaded with its best games

sony is bringing back the original playstation as a miniature console called the playstation classic. the company announced it today, almost 25 years after its initial release, with a set of images and a promotional video.

the device will cost $99.99 ( €99.99 / 9,980 yen / £89.99) and will come pre-loaded with 20 ‘genre-defining’ titles. these include tekken 3, final fantasy VII, and ridge racer type 4. sony’s press release confirms two other titles: jumping flash and wild arms.

customers will also get two classic PS1 controllers for games that support local multiplayer when they purchase the bundle. the console connects to modern TVs via HDMI-out. the device will launch globally on december 3, 2018.
