samir sadikhov reimagines tesla cybertruck as a minivan hybrid

automotive designer samir sadikhov has reimagined the cybertruck, turning it into a minivan inspired by curt brubaker – a celebrated car designer whose work directly influenced the recently unveiled tesla. dubbed the brubaker box, the concept rounds out slightly the sharp, angular, low-poly edges of the cybertruck aesthetic, in favour of a softer monocoque.

the renders envision a cuboid-shaped minivan configuration with extra capacity added to the rear of the vehicle which is accessible via single sliding door. sadikhov stays true to the metallic finish but adds a wooden bumpers and doesn’t specify if the concept would have the same ‘bulletproof’ capabilities as the tesla. 

‘I just wanted to bring back the legendary design of curt brubaker,’ explains sadikhov. ‘this is a personal project, no commercial purpose behind it. in terms of design my purpose was to modernize it with modern surfacing and detailing, almost treating as a bang & olufsen product style.’

inside, the brubaker box sports a minimal aesthetic with an interior that similarly reflects the concept’s softer adaptation. wooden floors and textured furnishings create a warm and comfortable environment, and an entertainment center keep kids entertained on the go. 

the minivan features two windows on the side and two long sun-roofs. meanwhile a light strip between the sun-roofs helps illuminate the vehicle in low-light environments.

‘I tried to keep it very clean and puristic,’ he adds. ‘the objective behind the interior design was to make it as spacious as possible with modern design language, using sustainable materials such as recycled wood, fabric with different color & trims.’
