'renault 4EVER trophy' makes an electric comeback after 30 years

Electrifying the future with Renault 4EVER trophy

Renault has started an electric revolution for its following, and the latest addition to its belt is making waves with Renault 4EVER Trophy, the revival and modernization of the classic Renault 4. The car design might look familiar at first glance, but Renault did not make this surprising comeback at the 2022 Paris Motor Show by just presenting a reproduction of the old car. The car company primps up the concept Renault 4EVER Trophy by making it electric and retaining some of the classic features while introducing new ones.

For example, fans will see the original car’s features such as the silhouette with the prominent bonnet, bumper, and hallmark-angled rear section. The rear, trapezoidal side windows with their rounded corners are still above the rear wheels, and the wings sit atop the wheel arches and reach through to the shield. No lights or stylish markers are applied on the front flanks. Renault 4EVER Trophy screams ‘I’m new!’ while still trying its muscular exterior to its 4L predecessor. Just look at the honed rim around the roof too!

Dune-buggy vibes & specs for outdoor cruising

Renault 4EVER Trophy being electric grounds the future production model of the car company. It wants to produce electric vehicles that are great in both urban and rural areas, and it feels that the comeback of the classic 4L might as well set that tone. The low section on 4EVER Trophy, painted Gun Metal Silver, has been designed for outdoor use, coupled with a flair to its look through its silver coat, magenta highlights on the roof straps, suspension springs, and wheel emblems. It gives off a dune-buggy vibe, and who would not love a playful car design?

The hollowed-out bonnet has a huge air exhaust that helps ease the radiator located in the center of the shield. The front overhang has been shortened for a great clearance capacity. There is also a spare tire on the carbon-fiber roof, and a shovel and waffle boards on the upper section of the rear door. For specs aficionados, the company writes on its website that the protection panels of the Renault 4EVER Trophy ‘are made with a considerable 20 cm clearance around the wheel arches. The high-seated body highlights the width of the 753 mm wheels mounted on 19-inch rims.’

Renault 4EVER Trophy to be produced France

A bit of flashback: over 8 million units of the Renault 4 were sold in more than 100 countries before its production was discontinued 30 years ago. The multipurpose car served its miles and ranges across cities and countryside, priding itself on having been able to carry on long journeys and daily commutes while anchoring loads and a lot more. Then, it said goodbye. Renault would like to believe it never left the spotlight, and sure, it did not really. When the news broke about the Renault 4EVER trophy, fans clamored on social media, expressing their excitement, and Renault aims not to disappoint them.

The car company is venturing into an all-electric SUV path that will be at ease on urban and rural roads alike. ‘Like the Renault 5, it will be made using the new CMF-BEV platform for B-segment electric vehicles. The platform will guarantee the best performance in terms of range, acoustics, and on-road behavior, without compromising on the design,’ the company writes on its website. Renault 4EVER Trophy is set to be produced in France.
