pink Peugeot 504 coupe pays tribute to 113
Peugeot Design Lab transforms the 504 coupe from the 1960s into a concept bubblegum pink racer for hill climbing. The design team says it’s ideal to go on the Pike Peaks International Hill Climb, an invitational race in Colorado, USA. A refreshed model of an iconic vehicle, the pink Peugeot 504 coupe also pays homage to the French hip-hop group 113. In 2000, the group performed at the Les Victoires de la Musique, the annual French music award ceremony. Before that, they drove a custom Peugeot 504 coupe on stage with a ‘113’ design on the side of the vehicle. Later on, the hip-hop group took home the album of the year for rap as well as the Révélation de l’année.
Peugeot Design Lab uses this as a starting point for the refreshed pink 504 coupe. The concept car for Pikes Peak is bigger and much more vibrant than its predecessor. Large geometric fenders sit on the side of the pink Peugeot 504 coupe. For the low bumper, an extended, front-covering wings almos touches the pavement. The tires are chunkier too, with vinyl-styled hubcaps bearing repetitive 113 logos on the surface. At the rear of the pink Peugeot 504 coupe, the design team plants a double wing. At the top of it, a huge imprint of PEUGEOT marks the concept car.

Classic black model specifically designed for drifting
The pink Peugeot 504 coupe isn’t the only design that Peugeot Design Lab has sketched for the 113 homage. There’s another one with a more classic touch to it. Here, the design team keeps the metallic gloss of some of the exterior parts and adds spurts of colorful details: blue for the door, red for the rear, and yellow tint for the windows. One side of its tires is blue, while it’s pink on the other side, just like the Pikes Peak concept car. For both models, the design team gives the interiors pink upholstery.
The seats and the flooring both bear checkered pink and blue prints. For the silver model, the sides of the pink seats have yellow accents for additional design element. The last iteration is a classic, all-black Peugeot 504 coupe with the 113 logo imprinted on the side of the concept car. This brings back the style of the car the hip-hop group used at the award ceremony. The design team says that they’ve made the black model specifically for drifting, hence the specific big tires and elongated rear. Presently, these sketches are still a concept project.
