OTAM 85 GTS is a gullwing door supercar-inspired superyacht

for over 60 years, OTAM has crafted high quality, customizable yachts combined with power and performance. set to be delivered in 2019, their latest one-off design, the OTAM 85 GTS, is a futuristic, personalized, flexible concept, even being inspired by gullwing doors from supercar designs. in terms of power, twin MTU 2600-hp engines propel the fast cruiser to a top speed of 45 knots and a cruising speed of 38 knots.

‘the genesis of the 85 GTS began during the cannes yachting festival last year [2017],‘ explains matteo belardinelli, sales & communication manger for OTAM. ‘we were presenting the OTAM 80, which attracted a lot of attention for its performance and the fact that it has a second full-beam master suite amidships. several clients came to me and expressed interest in a slightly larger version of the yacht, which provided the starting point for our R&D.‘

the interiors and exterior detailing of the OTAM 85 GTS has been designed by french architect joseph dirand. on deck, the layout offers ample lounging space to enjoy the sun and sea, especially with the dramatic open transom that leads down to the swim platform. a semi-open fly deck provides all the comfy seating and dining facilities, such as a bar and kitchenette, so that passengers can fully enjoy the outdoor yachting experience. the interior – a real highlight of the design – features two very spacious en-suite cabins, a practical gallery, facing salon/dinette, and even two crew berths in the bow.
