one-off ferrari omologata grand tourer inspired by modern architecture

70 years of grand touring tradition translates into the coach-built shape of the ferrari omologata. a client commission, the car is their 10th one-off design crafted over their V12 platform. it took over two years to complete, building upon inspiration of racing heritage, sci-fi and modern architecture to define a futuristic yet timeless shape – all handcraft from aluminum bodywork.

‘it is a vibrant evocation of the values that define ferrari in relation to GT racing: a car that is equally at ease on the road as it is hitting the apex on the track in the hands of a true gentleman driver,’ explains the italian brand.

the ferrari omologata might be based on their 812 superfast model but, apart from the original windscreen and headlights, all other elements has distinctively reinterpreted. the handcrafted bodywork evokes a balanced image of expressiveness and restraint. smooth volumes and undulating reflections are uplifted by sharp graphics with minimal yet distinct surface breaks for aerodynamic needs. at the front, the rounded section over the wheelarches seems to naturally extrude from the flattened oval grille. the visually low rear becomes very muscular from the end of the door, where a prominent spoiler adds extra downforce as well as a visually aggressive stance. this is all dressed in a new shade of red, called rosso magma finish, with sophisticated racing livery.

inside, the full black interior subtly reveals trim details with strong links to their racing heritage. it features electric blue seats, finished in a combination of leather and jeans aunde fabric with four-point racing harnesses. inspired by their GT racers from the 1950s and 60s, a crackled paint effect adorns the metal sections of the dashboard and steering wheel. likewise, a hammered paint effect is seen on the inner door handles and ferrari F1 bridge at the center of the cockpit.
