liechtenstein research and development company nanoflowcell introduced the youngest member of the ‘quant’ family: the street legal electric compact ‘quantino’. measuring 3.91 meters in length, the 2+2 seater is built for the electric mass market. a sporty and versatile car, the stand out feature is the nanoflowcell low voltage drivetrain. with its two 175 litre tanks, the car is able to a total of 350 litres of the company’s trademark ionic liquid (electrolyte fuel) – one tank with a positive charge and one with a negative charge. the refueling process is similar to the procedure which is customary today, the sole difference being that two tanks are filled simultaneously, each with a different fluid.
the ‘quantino’ has an all-wheel drive system
even at only 48 volts, a combination of nanoflowcell technology, a buffer system and four electric motors each creating 80kW of power gives the ‘quantino’ a range of over 1,000 kilometers. fully electric and without harmful emissions, the little brother of the ‘quant e’ and ‘quant f‘ offers a top speed of 200 km/h. production of the modular designed nanoflowcell ‘quantino’ will be in small-batches, with a feasibility study due this year to provide the basis for the final decision.
