Joining this creative lineup is the Clip Mouse – a linear, minimalistic device that effortlessly attaches to the user’s hand, mirroring the functions of a standard computer mouse. Mainly created as a replacement for the Magic Mouse, the Clip Mouse’s goal is to take all the things its Apple predecessor can do and put them into a smaller, lighter, and simpler design.

Effortless Operation and Innovative Technology

 

Using the Clip Mouse (now on kickstarter, here) is as straightforward as its name suggests – simply clip it onto your hand, launch the configuration app, and you’re ready to proceed. The Clip Mouse establishes a connection via Bluetooth 5.0 with the Mac or PC and operates just like a typical mouse. The notable distinction between the standard mouse and the Clip Mouse lies in its technology: Instead of relying on an optical or laser sensor, the Clip Mouse employs a gyroscope module, akin to those found in VR controller devices. Beneath the user’s fingers, there’s a built-in touchpad that monitors the style, direction of gestures, and pressure applied by the fingers. The gyroscope module is precision-engineered to discern horizontal movement through a thoughtfully devised algorithm. As a result, all other hand movements are disregarded, ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience.
