aspiring to transform modern retro motorcycles into futuristic visions, mandrill garage’s latest creation also holds the ambition to conquer pikes peak. based on a 2014 triumph T100, the custom racer – called ‘power street’ – adds advanced technology, mechanics and aesthetics to the original design with only the parallel twin engine with 865cc and the tank remaining after the overhaul.

to start with, the mandrill garage ‘power street’ impresses with a 3d front number board and carbon fiber sideboards, with the latter helping funnel air in towards the engine. behind these, a pair of yellow lensed fog lights join the LED headlight. however, the majority of the custom work is situated at the rear as a replacement subframe, made from carbon fiber and alloy, was preferred. here, individual pieces of carbon extend further rearwards to create the single saddle, which is covered in leather. this also houses the separate taillights.

much like how the motorcycle’s rear end features a single sided swingarm from a ducati 1098, the front and back are both fitted with gold wheels from the italian brand, alongside showa forks. these were only installed thanks to one-off triple clamps that fit them to the frame. the gold details continue on the body’s paintwork, illustrating graphic lines and the logos against the deep glossy black background.
