love hultén creates bell-jar inspired console in ultimate nintendo shrine

swedish designer love hultén pays tribute to nintendo in his latest retro-inspired creation. the pyua, a console compatible with classic NES nintendo games and famicom cartridges blurs the line between art piece and gamer collectible.

the pyua can output up to 1080p via an HDMI cable and comes with two custom wireless NES controllers, built 8bitdo. hultén says the pyua functions, ‘without input lag or degradation to the original games.‘ hultén has also built a custom wooden carrying case that holds up to 20 games.

hultén specialise in creating one-of-a-kind exclusive objects that fuse traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. earlier this year he released the originX, a custom-made walnut arcade cabinet inspired by the original pong arcade game and released in a limited edition of 50 units.
