established as an automotive high fashion house that hand-crafts vehicles, vision automobiles paris has designed their first piece, the 1789 hypercar. it aims to renew the concept of tailored cars which are unique in both aesthetics and driving experience. at the heart of its design, the 24 hours of le mans race forms the DNA of the two-seater. two professional drivers as well as a team of french experts helped collaborate to shape its uncompromising appeal.

first and foremost, the vision 1789 hypercar has been developed and produced for the track – road driving is a second thought. the exterior design appears as if highly sculptural yet high aerodynamic research has been used to define its shape. the resulting aesthetic aims to combine french expertize in both motorsports but also luxury. the two-seater cockpit reflects this desire: a bubble greenhouse contains two enveloping seats, an ultra-thin minimal dashboard, and a rectangular racing steering wheel – all to help deliver unique driving sensations.

as an alternative to fossil fuels and electricity, the hypercar has been fitted with an engine that runs on bio-methane. this has a positive carbon impact as it enhances gases from the decomposition of organic materials, basically turning waste into a source of energy. their design has the ability to shift the state of bio-methane in order to adapt for the desire use of the vehicle: racing will use bio-methane as a liquid which has the benefit of being less heavy; gaseous bio-methane will be used for road driving. both states will be stored in a tank hidden behind the passenger/driver’s bubble cockpit.
