austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM produces only one car, and it has been given a raft of upgrades for 2018. the ‘X-bow’ (pronounced ‘cross-bow’) sits alongside the ariel ‘atom‘ and BAC ‘mono‘ for options that can tear through race tracks. following its introduction in 2009, the track car has gained a GT4-specification that helps it perform like a true racer.

KTM’s ‘X-bow GT4’ comes fitted with genuine competition-grade equipment as standard, such as a motec ECU and LMP-style safety devices ensuring that it will compete with the rest of the racers on circuit. tipping the scales at just 2,200 pounds, it proves to be an aggressive example of a featherweight. an AUDI-sourced 2.0 liter engine is sat in the middle and produces 360 horsepower, sending it through a hollinger ‘MF’ sequential transmission before meeting the wheels on the circuit. the ‘X-bow GT4’s inboard suspension has also been retooled to improve durability, while offering a more reliable package for driving enthusiasts.
