serious audiophiles are always disappointed by the output of portable music devices, and whats worse is when matched with a great pair of headphones they whole setup becomes very anticlimactic. canadian company antiseed has developed a potential solution with a portable USB powered amplifier named ‘kori’. the two stage amplifier regulates the sound supply with an accompanied servo to void the DC output to produce the output signal stronger than the original source with minimal distortion.

the whole audio circuit operates at standard USB power levels making it flexible to connect to external batteries and laptops. the simple external frame is manufactured from a single aluminum bar with a translucent polyepoxide shell and teak wood accents. like other traditional amplifiers, the ‘kori’ incorporates an analog volume control and power switch with 3.5mm input and output audio plugs. antiseed is currently running a kickstarter campaign with plans to ship their first batches of the ‘kori’ as early as august-september 2015.
