KIA motors to reveal electric concept SUV at CES 2018

kia motors will reveal an all-electric concept car and present its vision for future mobility at the 2018 consumer electronics show in las vegas. combining the south korean-automaker’s design strengths with an efficient battery-electric powertrain, the concept represents the next step in the brand’s journey to electrification.

KIA’s electric concept car features an innovative human-machine interface (HMI) and an advanced ‘motion graphic’ lighting system, previewing the potential for these technologies for market introduction in coming years. alongside the concept, a range of in-car features and innovations will be revealed at CES 2018. the brand’s interactive ‘beyond autonomous driving’ exhibits combine existing and future technologies to outline its plans for vehicle autonomy and mobility, supported by the introduction of upcoming autonomous drive technologies.

the south korean-automaker will also present three interactive, cockpit-style exhibits designed to show how it will incorporate technologies to enhance communication and interaction between occupants and vehicles. these include new advanced driver assistance technologies and innovative HMI functions, plus the world’s first in-car 5G connection.
