jeep unveils its most advanced wrangler SUV at the 2017 LA auto show

jeep’s self-proclaimed most capable SUV ever, the 2018 wrangler, made its debut at the 2017 LA auto show. the JL-generation sport, sport s, and rubicon models are impressive vehicles. improved all-wheel drive, better aerodynamics, new Uconnect systems with a pinch to zoom touchscreen interface, fuel efficient power trains and dozens of more door-top-windshield combos for die-hard jeep fans to wax on and wax off. these are just a few of the refined specs on the much-awaited off-roader.

it’s packed with more than 75 available advanced safety and security features

jeep took their time with this SUV and their intentions were pure and transparent. they wanted to give their fans what they wanted and they certainly delivered. there’s an all new 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with efficient Etorque technology and, in response to overwhelming consumer demand, diesel power: 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 with ESS coming in 2019.

big-picture perspective: thankfully, not too much has changed. head on, the 2018 wrangler stares blankly back at you with a subtly more confident gaze than past models. it doesn’t look too different. the exterior design still features the instantly recognizable keystone-shaped grille and, of course, iconic round, bug-eyed headlamps. the changes are simple and aesthetically pleasing and the increased customizability of this machine makes it even more personal than before. for some jeep fans, the wrangler has always been the best SUV ever. this JL-generation is a great improvement. well done, jeep.
