anthony jannarelly, designer of w motors  and frederic juillot, owern of equation composite, a company specializing in carbon fiber parts, announced that they combined their skills and talent to create a new sports car called the jannarelly ‘design-1’. the brand, centered on automotive emotions is all about self-expression and creativity that allows for greater freedom in customization and pure performance. the pair began with a straightforward concept can reflect its owner, with a distinct tribute to the 1960’s.

the car’s lines and flexible mechanical approach refer to sports cars when design and technology were sync with purpose, generating naturally organic shapes. ‘the jannarelly is a tribute to the golden age of sports cars for today’s drivers,’ describes anthony jannarelly. ‘it was conceived to be the start of an emotional journey through the essence of motoring: the thrill of driving and the emotion of owning a beautiful object expressing their very own self with the same free spirit taken from the golden age of sports cars.’

the shape reflects mechanical needs of the sports car

the jannarelly ‘design-1’ is a rear wheel drive, two-seater roadster with a steel tubular frame and structural aluminum panels for the chassis. it is fitted with a mid-rear V6 24 valve engine, with most of the body made out of fiberglass and carbon fiber. the first 30 cars are expected to arrive summer 2016, with the team still putting the finishing touches to the first prototype in dubai.
