ironwood custom motorcycles lines BMW R1250 GS with flaming stripes

having only set up shop in 2012, ironwood custom motorcycles have already become renowned for edgy, modern café racers that reinterpret BMWs – just check out their R80 mutant for example. their latest motorcycle, the dominator, not only continues this trend but pushes it to the most radical limits. they transform the all-new R1250 GS into a two-wheeler that aesthetically appears as if it combines a delorean, tesla cybertruck and bladerunner vs tron all-in-one.

collaborating with BMW motorrad, the ironwood custom motorcycles’ dominator is radical and unique. it pens an aggressive, bold and clean aesthetic by shaping its bodywork, especially its tank, with angular surfaces. this assertive look extends immediately from the long, straight headlight on the front all the way to its twin exhaust system that is discretely hidden on the lower right at its rear. the new design also benefits from a relocation of is big fuel pump and in-house made aluminum top clamp, caps and rear set of brackets.

to accentuate its angular panels, vivid lines of fire seemingly flow along the hard edges of its body. the exterior is firstly covered in an anthracite gray base that, while being both sleek yet ominous, acts as a platform for its radical streak to take center stage. these bright orange stripes change in tone depending on the lighting.

the dominator’s aggressive stance is enhanced further as the rear is propped up by a 19” tire instead of a 17”. it is just one of many technical refinements to the original R1250 GS. this includes lightweight forged carbon wheels by rotobox and custom-made carbon fiber front tubes for its telelever system. like those at the front, the rear’s absorbers and springs are coated in a candy blue that contrasts dramatically with the gray and orange.

the ironwood custom motorcycles dominator was made in collaboration with BMW motorrad netherlands and watchmaker TW steel. the blue-stitched upholstery of the bike’s saddle matches that of the TW steel watch, which was crafted at the same time.
