Ventete’s aH-1 inflates and deflates in 30 seconds

Startup Ventete comes out with a piece of equipment bike riders may appreciate: aH-1 aka an inflatable, collapsible micro helmet that inflates and deflates in around 30 seconds. Once deflated, it also folds into a size that’s smaller than a laptop and might be as thin as a typical notebook. Because of this, it can fit in a backpack and small bags, or even in narrow storage cases and boxes. Looking at its design, the collapsible micro helmet has ribs between its inflating tubes or skins. When filled up with air, it can resemble a grown shell of a clam, designed with advanced technology to protect the rider’s head (the pearl, in this case).

A self-inflating collapsible micro bike helmet?

When bike riders glance at the side of Ventete’s inflatable and collapsible micro helmet, they can find the reason behind its inflating nature. There’s a nozzle that they can use to inflate the micro helmet, and so far, the design team is yet to announce whether or not the product is self-inflating. An air valve-looking piece sits next to the nozzle, which may help the bike riders regulate how much air is pumped into the micro helmet. As of publishing the story, the inflatable and collapsible piece of bike equipment may have a single size. Given that the riders might be able to measure the air pumped, they may be able to resize the helmet to their head as they fill it up.

Ventete’s inflatable and collapsible micro bike helmet is designed in London and made in Switzerland. So far, aH-1 was introduced around London in June 2024 near Ventete’s headquarters. A man wearing the piece of bike equipment took over the billboards at 83 Broadway Market / London Fields, introducing the upcoming gear to the public. The design team says that aH-1 is the result of ten years of developmental prototyping in London. Full details of the inflatable and collapsible micro bike helmet are yet to be revealed, but the startup has already hinted that it is made of the team’s patented pneumatic technology, or the way pressurized air moves, in this case in tubelike spaces between the helmet’s ribs.
