motomucci is an american brand dedicated to building eye-catching custom motorcycles. created by david mucci, his workshop aims to create striking vehicles and believes minimalism is not simplicity, but creating interest in the least amount of mechanical ‘brush strokes’. in this vein, it has completely reworked a husqvarna TE570 into this no-frills, futuristic, ‘supermoto’ bike.

making use of its industrial design background, motomucci put everything down on paper before getting to work. many of the bike’s components were first built in CAD, like the radiator grille, and the subframe. having detailed dimensions at hand for bend angles, and mounting points, saved the garage a lot of trial and error during the fabrication process.

once the design direction had been created, the rendering was stuck to the shop’s wall and it started crafting it out of metal. aluminum replaced most of the steel componentry, and husqvarna removed the counterbalance on the crank to shed even more weight. dave lowered the 2001 husqvarna ‘TE570’, fitted 17” matching, multispoke rims at each end, and then wrapped them in shinko ‘705’ tires.

a bespoke, cantilevered subframe forms the ‘TE570’s’ center point, arching the rider’s center of gravity towards the bike’s centerpoint, while creating more visual space around the rear wheel. the exhaust pipe is tucked up to complement the the subframe, while shades of ‘cool’ grey and ‘champagne’ gold are used to give the bike a sleek look with highlights.
