Youtuber Bob Maddox, known for building the largest pulsejet engines in the world, is also the designer of the Harley Davidson Twin Pulsejet motorcycle. Based on a 1929 Harley-Davidson track racer design, the bright red two-wheeler sports a custom tubular frame and is powered by two enormous stainless steel pulsejet engines that produce 250 pounds of thrust. Those in the mood for a spin had the opportunity to bid on this one-of-a-kind motorcycle at auction house Mecum for an estimated price of $25,000 to $35,000.

Bob Maddox has been designing impressive pulsejet engines for years, selling them either as kits or as digital plans. His collection of vehicles includes motorcycles, skateboards, tricycles, go-karts, hot rods and more. In recent years, Maddox has become an internet sensation thanks to his YouTube channel, where he showcases his remarkable designs, driving them at breathtaking speeds.

In a video from 2011, the Youtuber unveils the custom Harley Davidson Twin Pulsejet motorcycle, which he says he has been working on for about 8 to 9 years. As seen in the video, two giant pulsejets take over the shiny red body, which is completed with a set of thin tires, heat shields, low-hanging bars and an angular fuel tank. The motorcycle can run on regular gasoline with an octane rating of 87 and is said to be capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds. After a brief introduction to the unique two-wheeler, Maddox rides it and the flames blaze as the bright red motorcycle glides across the asphalt.

More than 10 years after it was built, the impressive Harley Davidson-inspired motorcycle turned up at Mecum (find more here) as a special feature in a January 2023 auction. It seems like the auction ended on January 15, and although the estimated starting price was $25,000, the two-wheeler reportedly sold for a lower price of $15,400.
