a marriage of classic and minimal aesthetics have been implemented into the ‘gramovox‘, the world’s first bluetooth gramophone. influenced by the 1920s magnavox R3 horn speaker, the re-designed unit maintains the spirit of communal bonding over songs, speeches and radio dramas from a time when gramophones were promoted as home entertainment centers. users can pair any bluetooth-enabled device to the gramovox, wirelessly streaming their favorite songs from 10 meters away through the horn to experience a mid-range, vintage sound. shaped by experienced american metal fabricators and wood workers, the speaker was designed and crafted to replicate the specifications and dimensionality of the magnavox R3. it features a custom printed circuit board (PCB) with a bluetooth 3.0 module and 3D-printed a base plate.
the ‘gramovox’ is currently seeking funding on kickstarter.
