genesis X concept debuts an athletic, zero-emission grand tourer

highlighting the potential future of california’s dynamic car culture, the genesis X concept is a high-tech performance, zero-emission luxury motor with a focus on sustainable design. the prototype strikingly pairs athletic elegance and sophisticated lines. similar to previous models like the G80 and essentia, the brand accentuates their signature two-line visual element but in a new, unique and pioneering spirit.

the stunning silhouette of the car highlights the brand’s futuristic take on design. the front end is low but wide thanks to the combination of the shield-shaped metallic grille; ultimately a proud signature element of the designers. moreover, the car’s sophistication becomes apparent with the single panel integration of the hood and the fender, creating a clean and uninterrupted surface. visual unity is emphasized by the sweeping parabolic line from front to rear as well as the two-line design of the headlights and taillights. the vehicle’s athletic stance is expressed by a lençóis blue color, developed to represent the brand’s pursue for sustainable luxury.

luxury continues inside through a driver orientated design where all operating systems and displays surround the driver. for further differentation, the driver’s bucket seat is upholstered in brown leather compared to ocean green for the passenger’s. in addition, the free-form display and the crystal sphere electronic gearstick lever integrate an atmosphere of modernity and advanced technology. to sustain the eco-friendly concept, upcycled materials – from previous manufacturing processes – are used for the belts, steering wheel and airbag cover.

known for delivering high performance standards, genesis implements progressive and sturdy features on the X concept. the bottom front air vent modelled in a thin mesh keeps low heat levels, facilitates air-flow, reduces air resistance and helps extend mileage. furthermore, the slide-to-open charging doors, brake calipers, and digital side mirrors, also add to the car’s performance levels.
