Genesis reveals X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept
Genesis releases X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept sports car as a full-scale vehicle model at the Gran Turismo World Series World Finals in Barcelona, Spain. Starting January 2024, players of the Gran Turismo 7 video game can play and race the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept. But first, Genesis wants its fans to see the real-life production of the concept sports car, so they can get a feel of the outside and inside and keep the car design elements, visual aesthetics, and even texture in mind when they play it in the video game.
Looking at the design of the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept sports car, muscular volumes are centered around the wheels to usher in a tensioned yet smooth appearance. The front of the car showcases a connected grille and lights, a new approach for Genesis, to offer a sense of lightness and improve the concept sports car’s aerodynamics. The overall shape of the car, with its low height and elongated form, moves the driver and the engine towards the rear, creating a sporty mid-engine layout for the concept sports car.

Concept sports car influenced by korea’s volcanoes
The Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept sports car draws its Magma color from the lava shade of volcanoes in Korea and the culture of the country. Its stark hue aims to convey energy and passion similar to the heated flow of the lava. Glancing at the front fender and the rear fender forms, the concept sports car focuses on dynamic flow for the vehicle’s body. As it moves towards the back, a distinctive elliptical shape can be seen, a common feature in Genesis vehicles.
This elliptical form is framed by a rear spoiler and additional aerodynamic details, and the combination of the sculpted body and technical aerodynamic elements captures the essence of a grand touring spirit. A dive into the high-performance car prods the Genesis design team to employ various design elements and techniques such as internal and laminar flows to achieve a low drag coefficient, making the car more efficient and faster.

Early access to the sports car for gran turismo players
The Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept sports car follows the car brand’s principle of creating a clean and focused environment for the interior. The essential features are given priority to help the driver concentrate while on the race track. The digital interface provides driving information, and there’s a surround digital monitoring system for a clear view of nearby vehicles. The steer-by-wire grip commands can offer precise control, giving the driver a competitive advantage.
The carbon cabin is designed for both protection and comfort since soft touch points are strategically placed where the driver interacts with the car. The quilted, padded bolsters add comfort and safety during racing and when getting in and out of the car during pit stops. For specs buffs, the concept sports car is powered by a front mid-mounted Lambda 11 V6 engine, assisted by Genesis E-SC technology.
Its hybrid system can deliver a total of 1,071 horsepower, and the V6 screams at 10,000 RPM while delivering a maximum output of 870hp and 790 lb-ft while the Yasa E motor generates an additional 201hp and 196 lb-ft of torque. Genesis says that Gran Turismo 7 players who watch the Manufacturer’s Cup broadcast in GT7 will receive early access to the concept sports car as a gift in January 2024.
