Flying flea by royal enfield reveals first electric motorcyle

At CES 2025, Flying Flea by Royal Enfield introduces its first electric motorcycle, which has a smartphone-like chip installed. This part allows the ride to run on five different modes and control the ride’s central unit and system. The chip comes from Qualcomm and is named the Snapdragon QWM2290 system-on-chip. Thanks to this, the rider can easily access speed control, sensor monitoring, and riding safety features smartly. The chip is an integrated circuit inclusive of all electronic components needed to make a two-wheeler, like Flying Flea vehicle, run.

The rider can choose these options on the rounded display on the electric motorcycle’s dashboard. This screen also displays Flying Flea’s controlling features, viewing navigation, or checking speed and performance metrics. The ride also allows the riders to connect to the internet and other devices and services, from smartphones to cloud services. It lets them update the electric motorcycle using a wireless connection and share data from the vehicle to their devices. Flying Flea’s electric motorcycle is also 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth-ready.

Aluminum fork and magnesium battery case for the vehicle

Design-wise, Flying Flea’s electric motorcycle, endorsed by Royal Enfield, has a front suspension with an aluminum girder fork. The vehicle’s frame is also forged in aluminum to make it sturdy yet lightweight. The battery case is made of magnesium to save weight and for faster cooling. Riders can also use their smartphones as the key to power up the electric motorcycle. Because Flying Flea’s first model is smart enough, it has a Voice Assist button to allow riders to give voice commands for tasks like navigation or controlling settings.

Users can customize their ride modes in five settings. They can also combine them depending on the terrain they’re going to cruise, from navigating tight spaces and traffic to bumpy roads. They’re welcome to tweak these settings on the cluster or rounded screen on the dashboard, which digitally displays the speed, navigation, battery life, and more. Flying Flea branches out from Royal Enfield, a historic brand that has been crafting motorcycles since 1901, and this model is the sibling company’s first electric motorcycle and offering.
