a smooth, safe, and fun ride

jules, françois, and nathan, the three founders of TAITO, decided to build their own scooter from personal observations and experiences. in the spring of 2019, e-scooters became popular around the city of ghent, but jules thought they were unstable and unsafe. he reached out to nathan to help draft the design, a combination of their engineering background. after hearing about the project, françois entered the team, and together, they met up for drinks, discussed their ideas, gave birth to their first prototype, and introduced TAITO, a three-wheeled e-scooter that offers a smooth and safe ride with a design that is built to last.

a super sophisticated design that’s built to last, feel free to ride smoothly and safely. come rain, shine, dark nights, and potholes, and feel free to enjoy a sleek and stylish ride. with some serious after-service backup. but most of all, just have fun. this e-scooter has grown up so you don’t have to,the trio states.

glide smoothly without problems

one of TAITO’s highlights is the refined wheels based on a special, patent-pending suspension system and floating platform design. they allow the riders to glide smoothly on uneven roads, potholes, and cobblestones without fearing the intense vibrations and trembling. the bamboo platform also reduces the shakes as the rider traverses an uneven pavement or sidewalk. the trio also attached LED lights and integrated indicators in the handlebars to guarantee the visibility of the riders. ‘additionally, we include an absolute lifesaver we call “the rider light”, bathing you in a powerful red light from behind to keep you vibrantly visible, the trio shares.

with its modular design, TAITO can be repaired by anyone. ‘we’ll even provide you with repair videos and spare parts so you can enjoy your scooter for many years to come. as well as its robust design, we are building a huge service network to make sure you can get service anywhere, says the founders. additionally, the e-scooter may be tracked via GPS, notifying the user if someone is trying to move or steal it. its motor may also be locked electronically. the tubular frame grants the rider multiple closed loops to easily secure it with a bike lock.

GPS-powered e-scooter

on the handlebars, riders may mount their phone via the quadlock integrated system and wirelessly charge their phones, visualize their speed and range, and lock and unlock their scooter. at the moment, the team says that the e-scooter weighs around 15kgs, but may change depending on the final materials chosen during the development. almost every component of the scooter, including its battery, is also easily replaceable in case of repair needs.
