devialet ingénierie acoustique de france, was established in 2007 by engineer pierre-emmanuel calmel, entrepreneur quentin sannié, and designer emmanuel nardin. the team invented a fully patented well rounded compact wireless speaker, called ‘phantom’. in development for ten years, it incorporates ‘ADH intelligence’ (analog digital hybrid) technology that has succeeded in combining the analog amplification and the power and compactness of the digital amplification.

the lateral domes produce a ultra dance sound with no saturation impact

devialet also developed a system that allows for extremely low frequencies to be edited from such a compact space, they dubbed ‘HBI’. together the two components allow the ‘phantom’ to reproduce levels of sound waves below the lower limit of human audibility, know as infrasound (16Hz). the speaker is built around two hermetic woofers that function under high pressure to create no background noise or distortion.

the beats of the lateral domes produce a ultra dance sound with no saturation impact. made of polycarbonate and aluminum, the spherical shape of the ‘phantom’ spreads its linear sound in all directions. to involve smartphones, tablets and computers, devialet designed the ‘dialog’. it is an intelligence hub which connects up to 24 ‘phantoms’ to their application ‘spark’. the platform allows users to control the system and connects them to the most popular online streaming services available. already accessible for purchase in europe, the devialet ‘phantom’ is preparing to ship to north america in september 2015.
