david brown automotive to launch MINI remastered at london motor show

the much anticipated MINI remastered is to make its public debut in the UK at the london motor show at battersea evolution from 4-7 may 2017. the second model to be made by british-based coachbuilder david brown automotive will take pride of place at the motor show alongside the manufacturer’s debut car, the classically-inspired ‘speedback GT’.

david brown automotive will be exhibiting its ultra-elegant ‘speedback GT’ model for discerning show visitors to admire. the little car has instantly recognizable MINI-styling, while echoing the form of the iconic aston martin ‘DB4 zagato’. the bespoke car boasts a five-liter twin-scroll supercharged V8 engine, which delivers 510 bhp, and a 0-60mph time of just 4.6 seconds, hitting top speed at 155 mph (250km/h).

the MINI remastered is based on a classic MINI and is reborn as a city car made for living in modern landscapes. the car boasts a reconditioned 1,275 cc 78 bhp / 91lb ft engine, paired with a four-speed gearbox, while the chassis and body panels are brand new with seamless shutlines. the car’s refinements include an in-built infotainment and navigation system, and has a host of modern connectivity, including apple carplay and android auto, a four-speaker sound system, keyless-go, usb connectivity and charging, plus in a similar fashion to today’s MINI’s manufactured by BMW–a push-button start and remote central locking.
