daniel craig x greg williams collab on limited edition leica Q2 worthy of bond

british actor daniel craig – famed for playing james bond in motion picture – and photographer greg williams – famed for capturing craig as the notorious spy, amongst many other series – collaborate on a limited edition, black and gold leica Q2 camera. limited to just 750 units, the design takes the renowned brand to an even higher level of luxury and exclusivity – one that would certainly be worthy of 007.

‘the Q2 is, for me, the perfect camera and needs no improvement. so, to have the chance to work with the amazing people at leica and my friend, greg williams to create something as unique as this, has been a privilege and an honour,‘ tells daniel craig.

daniel craig and greg williams’ leica Q2 design is technically identical to the standard model. its visual elements, however, show a Q quartermaster-inspired refinement in total black and gold. all engravings on the camera and lens are inlaid with gold paint. as a first for the brand, the name and sequential serial number are engraved with a laser under the glass cover of the camera display. the leica logo – traditionally red – has been replaced with a black dot and gold lettering as another unique and novel distinction.

the design’s carrier strap is made of top-quality, vegetable-dyed nappa leather, embossed with the leica logo and featuring gilded eyelets. the same leather also fabricates the camera covering, although embossed with an elegant pattern this time.

the daniel craig x greg williams leica Q2 comes in a specially designed, hinged-lid presentation box with gold lettering and a black silk lining – at a cost of £5,600 GBP in total.
