DAB motors unveil concept-e electric supermoto-style motorcycle

DAB motors concept-e electric motorcycle is a vision for future mobility. it propels riders through city streets in almost silence. the design is equally as clean but in a different sense; the minimalist, pure machine shows only the essentials in a racetrack grey color overall.

‘creating an electric model allows freedom from the usual motorcycle design codes. integration constraints which differ to those on a gas motorcycle, enables us to use sober and fluid lines placing the concept-e in a technological urban universe,’ says pierrick pichaureaux, head of design at outercraft, a french design agency who collaborated for DAB motors’ concept-e motorbike.

DAB motors’ concept-e design is based on two dynamics: the horizontal line that brings simplicity, and the oblique line which creates a flying back form. the latter gives the impression of speed and lightness to the appearance at the rear, concluding with a supercar-like translucent red taillight. up front, the LED speedometer is integrated into the triple trees as if a projector, displaying key information directly on to the bodywork.

the electric motorcyle is equipped with a 10 kW motor and 51.8V li-ion battery. this offers a range of 110 km (68 miles) and top speed of 105 kph (65 mph). together with öhlins suspensions, berlinger CNC aluminum brakes and gates belt drive, comfortable and intuitive driving is delivered alongside powerful instant torque for urban riders.
