described by its inventors as a ‘horizontal elevator’, the crosswater taxi is a self-driving capsule with the primary purpose of making point to point cross-water travel cheaper, faster, safer, and more convenient. carrying up to 15 users at a time, the simple watercraft moves people across stretches of water from one platform to the next. with the aim of reducing congestion on roads and bridges, the autonomous taxi is designed to work on rivers, lakes, islands and canals.

crosswater is fostering a more rapid transition to sustainable energy. the system is self-driving, all electric, and powered by solar energy and batteries, making it completely carbon neutral and cancelling out the CO2 emissions that trucks, trains, cars and boats would otherwise create.
the crosswater system also seeks to improve quality of life in whichever place it’s established. from reducing commute times and affording more comfortable travel to combating pollution and creating job opportunities, the system intends to provide a positive impact on communities in a variety of ways. you can get your global pass and find out more about crosswater at the website here.
