Bianchi ‘oltre RC’ introduces air deflectors
Bike professionals and athletes might not afford to lose their traction when they speed through the road on their bikes, so Bianchi has developed and introduced their new hyperbike that could help bikers rush through their riding without any aerodynamic drag. Meet Oltre RC, Bianchi’s first hyperbike and the lead member of the new Oltre series. Riders on the bike are now ready to pedal, but once they do, the vehicle’s mechanism slows them down. Here is where Oltre RC comes in with its Air Deflectors technology.
Bianchi has designed and integrated the Air Deflectors on the sides of the bike’s head tube, channeling the airflow and creating a low-pressure zone at the rear of the tube itself. There is a hole at the center of the fold where the air breezes in and out resulting in a significant reduction in the aerodynamic drag. Because of this airflow channel, bikes can rush on the road with Bianchi’s Oltre RC at a higher speed with less pedaling effort.

Tubeless-ready and 3k-carbon-finished wheels
Compared to the previous Oltre XR4 model, Oltre RC by Bianchi allows bikers to save 17 watts at a speed of 50 km/h and to gain 45 seconds over a distance of 40km with a power of 250 watts/h. Bikers might not need to worry about variable wind conditions during their training, competition, or free cruising as the hyperbike can manage the sudden changes in wind direction. Bianchi shares that Oltre RC introduces the concept of hyperbike that is also meant for World Tour competitions and professionals.
The frame is dominated by airflows that also increase the speed of the bike as one keeps pedaling. The sleek design might be eye-catching, but Bianchi only makes it one of its many core focuses. The bike’s tubeless-ready wheels have been developed to ensure the rigidity and smoothness of the bike ride coupled with its lightweight feature and appealing look. The 3k-carbon-finished wheels are rigid, super-reactive, and weigh 1,540 grams, so safe and fast cruising are guaranteed.

Oltre RC is Bianchi’s first hyperbike, an aero machine created for competitions. As the company believes, Bianchi rewrites the concept of a high-performance aerodynamic bicycle with the launch of the Oltre platform, driven by the Hyperbike Oltre RC and completed by the accompanying Oltre Pro and Oltre models.
