navigation device by beeline lets cyclists discover the city without getting lost

beeline is a handlebar mounted device that helps riders find their way on a bike through a city. it strips the navigation back to it bare basics and allows for a natural instinct to guide riders to their destination. it simply points cyclists in the general direction to their destination and tells them the distance to go. to set it up, simply snap the device onto the bike, select a destination in the free app and it’s ready to go. when not in use, the design protects the screen so it can be thrown in a pocket or bag without worrying about damaging the screen. it also comes with an aluminum buckle so users can attach it to their keys when not in use. 

the company collaborated with london’s map project office to work out details of electronics and software. beeline will also offer it in a range of colors, for added flare and customization. the display is a backlit e-paper screen, visible under all conditions. it’s weather proof to take on the elements and shock proof, for those tough cobbled streets. with an ultra low power screen, components and software optimized for efficiency, the device will last for up to three months between charges. the beeline bike navigation system is on kickstarter to help with manufacturing and the company hopes to ship their first batches by august 2016.
