bang & olufsen has just announced the arrival of their new product at CES 2014, las vagas: the beosound essence, a sound system which offers users the simplest way yet to listen to music within the home, with just one touch. most of the songs that we access from cloud-based services or have stored on our phones and tablets is never really heard, as it’s often too complicated to find it in our ever-expanding panoplies of digital files, turn on the speakers and connect. by placing the beosound essence remote wherever it’s convenient — mounted on the wall beside a light switch, or situated on a table, counter, or shelf — users can start listening to music as soon as they walk into the room. one touch turns the system on, and another skips between playlist tracks or internet radio stations, mutes the music and adjusts the volume.

the beosound essence sound system consists of two mechanical components: an aluminium beosound essence remote with true bang & olufsen touch and movement, and a hide-away box that is the control unit for airplay streaming, dlna streaming, spotify connect, qplay and thousands of global internet radio stations.
