AUDI A6 sedan adds a sporty streak to luxury, business class travel

debuting at the geneva motor show 2018, the eighth generation AUDI ‘A6’ epitomizes luxury, business class travel with an edge of sportiness. the full-size sedan, even larger than its predecessor, also advances in terms of digitalization, comfort, high performance and most importantly, design language.

sculpted elegantly, the exterior of the AUDI ‘A6’ is defined by taut surfaces, sharp edges and striking lines, three of which helps reduce the car’s visual height from its side view. from its front with its low-slung singleframe grille, flat headlights and contoured air inlets, the edges are drawn over the wheels to meet the tapered roof line at the flat C-pillars and short trunk lid. the result displays a character of elegance, high tech and sophistication, along side its over-arching sportiness.

the body of the sedan also adds to the relaxed atmosphere onboard. with a black-panel design, the large interior, which is made even more expansive with the luggage compartment, defines style and technical competence. the all-new seats, with its numerous adjustment functions and available ventilation and massage systems, underline its character as a long-distance car. the space is complete with large glass sections, including the panoramic sunroof that welcomes the flooding of light.

in terms of digitalization, the ‘A6’ showcases new standards of the brand’s MMI touch response system. the advancements, more specifically the extensive intelligent personalization options, enable the car to be tailored for up to seven different drivers, where their preferences can be adjusted with 400 parameters. its functions, apps and shortcuts can be positioned via drag-and-drop on the dashboard display. furthermore, the MMI navigation plus offers a self-learning function based on driven routes.

translating this technology into the car’s performance, the sedan is equipped with refined driver assistance systems to deliver even more comfort, poise and safety. it includes three different packages; the park assist offers parking and garage pilot; the city assist delivers new crossing assist; and the tour assist package provides adaptive cruise assistance for gentle steering intervention and efficiency.

as communicated with its dynamic exterior design, the AUDI ‘A6’ is sportier than the previous models. the agile all-wheel steering increases its angle, while a new damping concept conveys intense feedback, meaning it is perfect for driving in cities, on country roads and on highways. its high performance is delivered through a choice of two powerful, smooth engines; the V6 turbocharged engine accelerates from 0 to 62.1 mph in 5.1 seconds and to a limited top speed of 155.3 mph with the help of 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque, while the 3.0 TDI offers 286 hp and 620 Nm of torque.
