‘audi a3 e-tron electric life’ test pilot program with jae min

audi has released a three part video series entitled ‘audi electric life’, which gives a glimpse into daily life with the new audi a3 e-tron, a battery electric vehicle that is currently being tested by audi employees across the country as part of the company’s pilot program. the series includes audi automotive designer jae min sharing his ideas about the future of transportation, and how the vehicle’s technology helps shape the way for future alternative and sustainable transportation development.

the audi a3 e-tron prototype is based off the current audi a3 hatchback wheelbase, where the engine has been reconfigured to feautre a fully electric powertrain with a 26kw lithium-ion battery, resulting in zero driving emissions. the plug in EV provides 199 lb-ft of torque, a battery range of approximately 90 miles of range (145km) and a top speed of 90mph (145km/h) while still retaining the full interior space and features found within the gasoline and diesel counterparts.
