As a companion to the recently unveiled DB12 Coupe, British brand Aston Martin introduces the new DB12 Volante. This open-top model combines the performance and agility of a Super Tourer with the exhilarating feeling of driving with the top down. Enhanced by advanced technology and engineering, the newly unveiled vehicle embodies timeless craftsmanship and an exciting driving experience.

Developed in parallel with the Coupe, the DB12 Volante by Aston Martin (find more here) boasts the same advancements in terms of design, engineering, and technology. The model features an ultra-rigid aluminum structure, enhancing both performance and agility. Advanced engineering has led to a 3.7% increase in overall torsional rigidity, accompanied by improvements in lateral rigidity and suspension refinement. The powerful 4.0 Twin-Turbo V8 engine delivers 680 PS/671 bhp, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds.

The convertible experience is heightened by the electrically operated K-fold roof, combining sleek aesthetics with efficient operation. Named for its two-stage folding procedure designed to achieve a stack height of 260 mm, the design combines innovative closing solutions with maximum luggage capacity and fast operation. With 8 layers of insulation, the fabric roof is acoustically perfected to enhance cabin comfort. When raised, the beautifully defined roofline maintains the immaculate DB12 profile. When lowered, the K-fold mechanism positions itself low under the sculpted tonneau cover to create an elegant rear end. The roof takes 14 seconds to open and 16 seconds to close, and can be operated up to speeds of 31 mph (50 km/h) and in the presence of headwinds.
