for his final project at shenkar college of enigneering and design, all amir elias had to do was look at the way people move in the city tel aviv. the ‘moto’ focused on the group of people, and the methods they use to travel. of course automobiles are simple solution, but with the city isn’t ready for everyone to have one. so the industrial designer turn to mopeds and motorcycles to shape his concept. the minimalistic approach feed from the unique smooth and flowing lines of modern architecture in the city. by choosing an electric motor, amir went for a contemporary, economically and environmentally aware blend, where the use of one frees a lot of space within the motorcycle.

the bodywork panels give the concept a hollow feel, as well as conceal all the mechanical parts. the best part of the concept is the expansion system, where a rear swingarm extends to allow for up to two more standing riders. the ride along design would probably have some trouble balancing, but amir believes that literally have the riders ‘hanging on’ is the best form of togetherness that no other mode of transportation can offer.
