manufacturing and design brand ALPA of switzerland introduces their latest camera base module GON for tripods, with settings more precise and easier than ever. following the unified UniQ/C standards of dove tail interface, it is compatible with nearly any camera and not only ALPA.

due to its clever clamping, users of the ALPA modular GON can switch easily and safely between the various third-party providers and their adapter plates, L brackets etc.. together with a leveling base and carbon fiber legs, the modules can also be assembled into a full-fledged tripod.

the new modular heads offer the following options for photographers and users in general: 

 

individualization: one can buy and use only the modules needed or combine them in any desired configuration. 

 

modularity: for every function of an existing micro 3D leveling head, a single product is now available.

 

flexibility: combining the modules freely will allow a perfect camera setting for any application and user.

 

compatibility: the module is compatible with UniQ/C (universal and quick coupling) and other 3rd party contributors of dove tail attachment plates.

most importantly, the GON modular head is designed to be re-used for later purchased products. ‘the modules can be utilized in different configuration with future products (new bellows/bellows type camera, e.g.). so the customers do not have to buy everything just because of a newly introduced future element’.
