2020 mercedes-benz GLC defined by a more muscularly sculpted exterior

revealed ahead of the 2019 geneva motor show, the 2020 mercedes-benz GLC continues the legacy of its predecessors to deliver an interplay of excelling aesthetics, agility and intelligence. it is said to combine outstanding on- and off-road driving with spaciousness, practicality and comfort.

the 2020 mercedes-benz GLC resoundingly follows the brand’s design philosophy of sensual purity. on the exterior, distinctive lines are paired with muscularly sculpted surfaces to carve a sportier and wider appearance. redesigned headlamps, which are smaller and more raked, and a heavily contoured radiator grille create a strong off-road character too. following chrome elements from the front to the rear, the bumper and exhaust tips have been completely revised to define an unmistakable view, along with the redesigned LED tail lamps.

shaped by flowing surfaces, the SUV’s interior is a setting for luxury and user-friendliness. the center console highlights its high workmanship, with an elegant trim available in piano lacquer finish or two new wood surface finishes – open-pore ash wood and walnut. furthermore, the infotainment system has larger touchscreen displays, which all enhance the latest generation of the mercedes-benz user experience multimedia system (MBUX). this enables intuitive operating options such as touch, gesture and voice control.

alongside its stylish and smarter design features, the vehicle delivers the performance capabilities expected from mercedes-benz’s SUVs. the four-cylinder petrol and diesel engine options deliver a top power of 258hp and 500nm of torque. this has increased the power output whilst lowering the fuel consumption. however, at the same time, driving assistance systems have been expanded: exit warning, emergency corridor, and tail end of traffic ham functions. comfortable journeys are further aided by active distance assist and active steer assistance as well.
