rolex mentor and protégé arts initiative is the company's second major philanthropic program. launched in 2002 to further global culture, it seeks out gifted young artists from around the world and brings them together with artistic masters for a year or more of mentoring and creative collaboration. in keeping with its tradition of supporting excellence, quality and performance, the company gives emerging artists time to learn, create and grow. since its launch 15 years ago, the mentoring program has evolved into an enriching dialogue between artists of different cultures and disciplines, helping ensure that the world’s artistic heritage is passed on.
