cheng-tsung feng is a taiwanese young artist who describes himself as having an old soul in his body. cheng-tsung feng is fascinated by exploring the wisdom condensed out of time hidden in traditional utensils. as an artist he is reluctant to let go of these intangible assets along with traditional utensils. thus, he inherits them by design and learns to create utensils from their tradition. feng is known for his reinterpretations of techniques established in times gone by, specifically of those embodied in bamboo craft or other hand made skills with origins in taiwan. here, designboom reports on the works of the artist.
