founded by jan boelen and henriette waal, atelier LUMA is the design and research program of LUMA arles. based at parc des ateliers in the south of france, the studio comprises a laboratory, production workshop, and a network of global multidisciplinary experts that together examine ways of designing in harmony with the environment. their approach is rooted in looking at local cultures and geographies, adopting a bioregional approach.
