MATERIALS
This mystical ring is available on designboom in nylon, gold plated stainless steel, 925 silver (also with black rhodium finish) and in rose gold plated brass.
The rings made from 3D printed Nylon (polyamide) are produced by melting together fine powder with a laser. After, the rings are dyed in vivid colors.
Stainless steel is printed directly with a binder, bronze infused and then sintered in an oven; then 23,5 ct gold plated. In the finished product, you can still see the printing lines of the 3D printing process.
The brass and silver rings are first 3D printed in wax, then cast and carefully hand polished. The brass rings are then 23,5 ct gold plated.
